Why does Living Kitzbuehel use wool? Wool naturally regulates temperature, keeping feet comfortable in both cold and warm conditions. It's also a renewable, sustainable resource — which is why it's the foundation of every style we make, from dainty ballerinas to rugged lambswool mules.
Where are Living Kitzbuehel slippers made? Every pair is handcrafted in Europe, continuing a tradition of Austrian and European wool craftsmanship.
Sizing & Fit
How should Living Kitzbuehel slippers fit? They should feel comfortable right out of the box. We recommend trying them on indoors on a smooth, clean surface so they can still be returned or exchanged if the fit isn't right. Avoid stretching the wool to force a fit, as this can stress and compromise the structure of the felt.
Do Living Kitzbuehel slippers stretch or break in over time? The wool is designed to hold its shape rather than stretch to fit, so it's important to start with the correct size rather than sizing down and expecting the material to adjust.
Can I use an orthotic or custom insole with my slippers? Yes. Styles with a removable footbed can accommodate a custom or off-the-shelf orthotic. If your slippers feature a removable footbed, they should always be worn with one in place due to how they're constructed.
Care Instructions
How do I clean my Living Kitzbuehel slippers? Because wool naturally repels dirt, simply airing your slippers out is usually enough to refresh them. For a deeper clean, hand-wash felt slipper styles with a wool-specific detergent in water no warmer than 30°C/86°F. Do not machine wash.
What should I avoid when cleaning wool slippers? Avoid soaking, rubbing, wringing, or brushing your slippers, as this can cause the wool to matt and lose its shape.
Shipping
How much does shipping cost? Shipping is $12 for a single-pair order or $16 for orders of two or more pairs. This charge is non-refundable if the order is later returned.
How long does it take to receive my order? Orders are typically fulfilled within 1-2 business days and shipped via UPS Ground Saver. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Where does Living Kitzbuehel ship to? We currently ship to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. We're unable to ship internationally or to P.O. boxes at this time.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it? Because we fulfill orders quickly, we may not be able to cancel or modify an order once it's submitted.
Returns & Exchanges
What is Living Kitzbuehel's return window? Items must be returned within 30 days of the order date, unworn, in new condition, and in their original packaging.
Is return shipping free? Yes. A prepaid UPS return label is included with every order.
Are there any fees for returning my order? If you keep at least one pair from a multi-pair order, the restocking fee is waived. If all pairs from an order are returned, an $8 restocking fee applies. The original shipping charge is non-refundable in either case.
How long does it take to process a return or exchange? Please allow 3-5 business days after we receive your return for processing. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically take an additional 5-10 business days to appear.
What happens if I exchange for a higher-priced item? We'll send an invoice for the price difference, which must be paid within 48 hours. If payment isn't received in that window, the exchange will be cancelled and processed as a standard refund instead.
Who can request a return or exchange? For privacy and billing reasons, only the original purchaser can request a return, exchange, or warranty claim. Refunds are issued only to the original payment method, and exchanges are shipped only to the original order address.
